For example, you typically have the same code in
index.php
,
archive.php
,
search.php
etc. and even the
single.php
page contains very similar code.

That doesn’t make any sense at all. A better approach is to include that code in one file, and reference it from there: Don’t Repeat Yourself.

Run your own Jobs/Advert Board like “FreelanceSwitch Jobs” and “Smashing Jobs”!

Very simple install;

Manage job listings into categories;

Friendly URLs – SEO !

Pagination;

Secure administrator panel where you can add, edit and remove listings and categories;

‘Details’ page caching – reduces server load;

‘Add a Listing’ page protected with reCAPTCHA – stop spam;

Easy to customise with HTML & CSS ;

The application is built using the CodeIgniter PHP framework, which ensures the board is completely secure from all threats at all times! Also, as the application follows an MVC (Model, View, Controller) structure, you can customise the jobs board with normal HTML & CSS without having to worry about removing important code!

This is based on the same base code as my Create a Jobs Board with CodeIgniter Nettuts+ tutorial, however this is a production-ready item, secured from the normal threats to a website and with a simple to use administration panel.
